After 20 years of planning and saving to expand their firehouse, the volunteer fire fighters became aware of an EIFS insulation problem that was creating a dangerous situation. Moisture trapped in the walls caused black and green mold to permeate to the outside of the walls, causing distortions as the final EIFS coat pulled away. The firehouse was in need of a facelift and they wanted to beautify the building for the appreciation of the community. The masonry product used on the front exterior was a rough, brickface design carved into the cement.
The large crew assembled and worked diligently to complete the job as quickly as possible, opening and closing up entire 50 food sections in one day. They cleaned and prepped everything for the new brickface design that was etched into the cement on the front of the building to represent the fire service ideals of saving lives and extinguishing fires.
