(Construction.IndustryNews247.Com, December 16, 2015 ) Innovative technologies, advanced faucets made out of more natural materials are beginning to make their mark thus enhancing and change the face of kitchen and bath.
1. While Toto calls it a 'washlet', Duravit names it 'shower toilet'. Call whatever you want but the luxurious toilets that deliver stream of warm water at the sitter's rear side have taken the bath world by storm. Kohler has launched their CR-230 toilet seat that has additions such as bells and whistles with touchscreen remote control, air drying function, sanitizing UV light, deodorizer and many more. The profile is quite slim though that doesn't scream as a 'high tech toilet' oh so loudly.
2. Drenching under hot water is a blessing especially after a day's stress. This is what you get when you order Toto's Aerojet+ technology. The Energy Policy Act of 1992 has laid down the flow rate of showerheads at 2.5 gallons per minute (gpm). The product takes a two way approach. First, the water is circulated in a hollow chamber in the showerhead to force air into each droplet, increasing the density of water. Second, the flow of water is pulsated delivering subtle bursts.
3. An ancient Japanese wood charring technique called Shou sugi ban has been used by many millenia to extend the life of wood. Within recent times, it has become a prized possession and received many accolades for its unique look and make. The Italian company 41zero42 has now mimicked this feature in an uncanny porcelain tile using HD digital coloring process with a bit of luscious colors thrown in.
4. Italy's ABK Group promises to make the process of installing large format porcelain tile less challenging. The materials used for 'auto leveling' are environment friendly and meet with LEED design rules. The technology is available in two sizes and are available with ABK, Ariana and Flaviker brands.
5. Hansgrohe's new Focus kitchen faucet comes with water saving showerheads. The water stream blends easily with the air to deliver a bubblier spray while the precision elastomer simply changes the diametes as per the water pressure; the stronger the pressure, less water is allowed through. They also come with 16 inch arc that ensures pots fit underneath easily, 150 degree swivel range and a magnetic catch to hold the sprayer in place.
