(Construction.IndustryNews247.Com, February 16, 2015 ) Traverse City, MI – Scott McDowell, President of All-Weather Seal of WM, believes that giving back to the community is a vital part of a successful business. Every day there is someone in need with organizations asking for sponsorship and though one business cannot possibly satisfy every need, the Traverse City windows, roofing and siding contractors at All-Weather Seal of WM are doing what they can to make a difference.
Over 20 years ago, McDowell began what has since become a lifetime of giving back. He is proud to be making a difference each year and knowing that for some the gift they receive is a gift that continues for years to come. “This makes for a warm and fuzzy day at the office!” said McDowell. “Sometimes you have to say no as much as you don’t want; the ability to help everyone isn’t possible,” said McDowell.
McDowell’s generosity helps to improve lives for people who cannot afford certain home upgrades like replacement windows to reduce their energy bills. For example, his company has given away a house full of windows to ease the burden for a local family and make their home more energy efficient. Coming together to make a family happy makes McDowell and his crew proud to be part of a company that cares enough to make a difference.
All-Weather Seal of WM (http://pictureperfectwindowstraversecity.blogspot.com/) has a yearly drawing where needy families can register for $15,000 in home repairs to be used for windows, siding or roofing. They put the slips in a bucket and as the pile grows, so does the bucket, then the winner of the Christmas time drawing receives a life-changing gift.
All Weather Seal has also been known to give smaller gifts away throughout the year, a window or two, or a few sheets of siding. They have donated and installed windows for several organizations. As a community business with community ties, McDowell says that he doesn’t always have to say no. No matter how big or how small a gift, he can make a difference.
McDowell’s desire to own a business and give back to the community began over 30 years ago when his father founded All-Weather Seal of West Michigan with the goal to earn a customer’s business, not only for today, but for a lifetime. With those same values instilled in him today, McDowell strives to be personally involved in all of the day to day operations of his home improvement business.
